About me

Hi! I am 27 years old and I live on the west of Dartmoor in South-West England. In the 'about me' section of this site, you can find out various things about me and my interests.

Amateur Radio

My main hobby is Amateur Radio. My callsign is M0BLF and I have been licensed since 1996. I primarily enjoy DXpeditions and Contesting.

Studies

I am currently finishing a PhD on the Discourse of President Hugo Chávez of Venezuela in the Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Birmingham. I previously studied the MPhil(B) in Corpus Linguistics in Birmingham's Centre for Corpus Research and before that I read MA Modern and Medieval Languages at Girton College, Cambridge.

Computing

I am also interested in computing, and particularly website development and standards. I am the developer of rsgbiota.org, a major amateur radio awards website. Most of my development is in PHP+MySQL.

Elsewhere on Web 2.0

I am a user of many different social internet services, so if you want to know anything more about me, these would be a good place to look.
