Welcome to my website!

Here you will find details of the GB7CGL-1 DX Spider Packet Cluster together with lots of other information about ham radio. A new addition for 2008 is live weather data at my QTH. A number of specialist resources can be found here, especially for DXers and packet radio users. Explore the navigation buttons above. They have sub-menus leading to pages with a wealth of information. The DX menu provides various resources and an intro to DX Clusters. The G0CGL menu shows you my QTH, my QSL Gallery and searchable log-book.

There are sections devoted to the Swisslog logbook program, packet radio including Xrouter node software and various guides and manuals. Everything is updated as often as is practical (see the scrolling notepad to the right) so be sure to check back frequently.

If you would like to email me with comments or suggestions, there is a contact link above - I will be happy to hear from you.

GB7CGL-1 cluster access via a Java web applet!

Full log-in to my DX Spider. Just like cluster access software but from your browser with Java. Cluster commands for DX Spider are in the applet menus.

This facility is most useful if you don't have telnet, for example if you are using a PC at work and when your employer utilises a firewall that prevents other outgoing connections.

Weather data

I now have live weather data pages on my website (see the links at the top of the page). The data comes from my Irox Pro-X weather station located at my home QTH in Wool, west Dorset.

I have always had an interest in weather trends i.e. historical data and how that can used to determine short and long term changes in our weather.

Month on month and year on year comparisons, which I will be able to see as time passes and the historic data builds, are of great interest to many people and already the weather pages are getting a large number of hits.

My on-line Log is now available and can be searched using the G4ZFE search applet. See the link under the G0CGL menu above.  Last update: QSOs to 2nd April 2008.

My QSL Card Gallery was last updated on 26 September 2008. New photos added for many entities - see link under the G0CGL menu.
