SD
sets the standard for fast, simple logging and editing in the
major international contests and in dozens of others
worldwide. It is intended for single-op unassisted entries,
and runs on Windows, from Win95 to Vista, and on Linux/Wine -
with a console-mode (text) interface.
SD
supports rig control, serial and parallel keying - and integrates
with WinKey to
eliminate CW timing issues caused by Windows - the WKUSB kit
is recommended.
microHAM's USB CW
Keyer offers WinKey and level converters for rig control in a
single package.
SD
offers instant "full-screen" editing of any QSO in
your log. All SD's files, including the log, are ASCII
and can be viewed with any text editor.
Following any QSO edit, no matter how complex, SD checks
your complete log for consistency, and instantly updates
all relevant QSOs.
This includes setting and unsetting dupe and multiplier
flags, and updating area codes (zones), and points, in
all QSOs as required. The information shown in the
Summary Score window is correct at all times. Just try
this on any other contest logger - and see the
difference for yourself.
SD
is the only contest logger to offer the following
features, in real-time, as you type individual
callsign characters. There's no need to touch another
key or memorise Ctrl-This or Alt-That.
Dupe checking
Country/Band analysis
Check Partial by prefix
Beam headings
Advance flagging of potential multipliers
Band/Mode analysis by callsign
Linked database display
Auto data insert (Zones and area codes)
Countries Worked/Wanted by Continent

SDI
is recommended in the RSGB's
IOTA Contest Rules, and is the
only logger dedicated to this contest. No other logger
compares for SO unassisted entries.
SDI
was the leading IOTA contest logger for the 14 years from
1993 to 2006 inclusive. Here are the recent
stats.
To do well in IOTA, you must work island stations
because they're worth 5 times as many points. SDI sets
the standard for instantly showing your band/mode status for
island stations, and highlighting multiplier slots.
Other loggers can't do this! Without exception, they're
general-purpose contest loggers, with too much baggage and
compromises from supporting other contests. IOTA is special - it
needs a dedicated logger.
SDI
identifies
country and call-area, as you type individual
callsign letters, and
give you a real-time analysis of IOTA islands worked and
wanted (if any) for that country or call-area - for the
current band and mode. When the country is an IOTA island
with a single reference, SDI auto-fills the reference.
SDI
gives you a worked/wanted analysis for all bands and
modes when you type an IOTA reference in the callsign
field - there's no need to touch another key or remember
function keys or multiple keystrokes.
SDI
is ready for the next IOTA Contest in July 2009
SDX
(SD for DXpeditions) is a DXpedition and Special Event
logger rather than a contest logger. It supports SSB
and CW operation on all 10 bands from 6 to 160 metres, and
is similar to SD in giving a real-time country/band/mode
analysis as you type callsign characters - without the need
to touch any other key.
SDX
also offers real-time prefix checking, dupe checking,
and beam headings. It supports Super Check Partial, serial
and parallel keying, rig control, PTT and band outputs using
standard files and interfaces.
SDXCHECK
SDXCHECK is the associated post-event program to create ADIF
or text logs for integration with your station log.
