Vacant places in Mozambique DX'pedition Team

26 Apr 2010 14:46 | Tim Beaumont

Owing to a number of drop outs from the Mozambique DXpedition there are places available for anyone interested. We plan to visit the Indian Ocean resort of Bilene which is 150km north of Maputu. We will be flying out to Johannesburg on 13th October and travelling up to the Mozambique border by minibus on 14th October where we will stay overnight before crossing. After negotiating the border on the morning of 15th we will drive up to Bilene. That weekend is Jamboree on the Air weekend and we plan to run a station for local scouts for JOTA. After JOTA we will operate through until the weekend of 30th/31st October when we will enter a station in CQWW SSB. We return to Johannesburg on 3rd November. Daniel Hubbard ZS6JR of CQ-DX African Safaris is responsible for arranging accomodation and operation in Mozambique and will arrange individual C91 licences. He also provides antennas and equipment for the DXpedition. Click here for more information CQ-DX African Safaris web pages
