October 2009
- CDXC Members Derek G3KHZ, Gordon G3USR, David M0VTG and others will be active from three Papua New Guinea island groups successively from about the 20th October until Tuesday 10th November.

RSGB Convention
CDXC will have a stand at the RSGB Convention in Wyboston, 9-10 October. Most of the Committee will be there.

National Hamfest in association with the Lincoln Shortwave Club and the RSGB
October 2nd and 3rd 2009
Opening times - 10am to 4pm
To be held at the Newark Showground (www.newarkshowground.com) - set in quiet countryside 5 minutes from the A1 and with extensive parking. The rally is being held in the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall - a great exhibition space - with plenty of room to host the trade stands and offering a large meeting and refreshment area.
CDXC will be there on the Martin Lynch stand (thanks Martin) www.hamradio.co.uk .
We encourage members to sign in and have a chat. If you come with friends who are not members, bring them along and let's see if we can persuade them to join CDXC.

- GB111HP will be on the air during August. CDXC member Viv, G4PLY, tells us that this is in memory of Harry Petch who died recently aged 111 years. Harry was the oldest survivor of the trench warfare of World War l.

- the VP6DX team for a stupendous expedition to Ducie Island
- the Five Star DX Association for continual success in 'raising the bar' of expeditioning performance and setting new standards for planning and operation over the past ten years
